Boston PD responded to 275 Columbia Rd, near the intersection with Intervale St., and found one person with a single gunshot wound through the shoulder. The Shotspotter system indicated a total of nine rounds were fired. BPD located several rounds either lodged in, or through the windows of, the nearby Lilla G. Frederick Middle School. Children were in the school at the time, but none were injured.
Columbia Rd was shut down in both directions to investigate the shooting. CSI technicians and homicide detectives responded to the scene, due to the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
Per UniversalHub, a second victim, with a gunshot wound to the leg, walked into the Boston Medical Center.
On July 4th, two people were shot dead at the intersection of Columbia Rd and Ceylon St.
